Advocacy Institute 2011

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you might already know that me and my 3 friends attended a 17 days summer debate program, The Advocacy Institute, in Xiamen, China. The last year’s program took place at the Xiamen University with collaboration with Willamette University from Oregon, Washington. During the course we all received one credit worth of lesson form Willamette professors in Biodiversity, Sustainability, Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and debate. There were about 40 of us, from China, South Africa, United States and Mongolia. At the end of the course we had a debate tournament concerning the lessons we took.

This year's program will take place in Dalian, China organized by Willamette University as well at the Dalian Nationalities University from May 18th to June 3rd. Student from outside China and U.S. can apply for full scholarship of the program including accommodation, food and tuition, excluding the transportation. Since I have already attended the program, I can’t apply this year again.

If you’re interested in the program, please check its website here.
