i've started my internship

the desk i am working on currently is behind me
instagrammed it on monday
last friday (may 25th), i have officially started my internship and on monday (may 28th) i actually went into the office to do some work.

as you may know, i study international economic relations, so i thought it would be perfect to do my internship on a UNDP project (PMMS) implemented at the national development and innovation committee.

so far, i am enjoying the work that i am doing while preparing for the rest of my finals.

healthier diet

supper i had the
other day
i've been thinking; the life of non-concern food should end, at least for now. since the semester is officially over for me and in 10 days i'll be done with my exams, why not follow a healthier diet and if it works out well, follow it through-out my internship, of which i'll post about later.

this kind of pear can be
found at Family Mart
healthier diet will help during a stressful time of exam (hopefully) and with the warm summer weather coming, a little light food won't do any harm. so here is a few guidelines i'm gonna follow as long as possible for the coming ... months:
  1. no carbonated drinks - no cola, no soda, no ginger ale, no pepsi, no mountain dew ...
  2. drink more herbal tea and at least 2 litres of water, mineral or boiled, everyday
  3. buckwheat instead of rice (i already replaced my white bread with black bread)
  4. no hard fried food - more steamed food
  5. more fruit - the fresher the better. no dried fruit.
  6. no red meat - only white meat if meat is necessarily desired (i don't usually like meat in warm weather anyway)
please, suggesting anything that should be on this list concerning a healthier diet for me.

p.s. this only concerns the diet, i totally understand that i need more healthy exercise system except walking and turning hoops.

first impression made by sherlock and cal

with my addiction of detective stories, i've watched bbc's sherlock too many times and tim roth's lie to me decent number of time; and the first cool scene in sherlock is when holmes recites how he had figured out watson's background just by his mobile phone in a taxi going to the 4th crime scene, and the following conversation happens:
watson: that ... was amazing.
sherlock: do you really think so.
watson: yes, that was extraordinary ... quite extraordinary.
sherlock: that's not what people normally say.
watson: what do people normally say?
sherlock: piss off.
lie to me
well, that makes sense. but when i watch lie to me, they are quote by an FBI agent character "bunch of 'scientists' running around and pointing at people" and no one, i say no one, directly get onto the same level of anger, which doesn't make sense at all. the lightman group analysts are kinda overwhelmingly into and over the top with the work that they do in a way that can't get away with it as my very favourite sherlock do.

i've watched the avengers

we, as in my class, were planning to go and watch the avengers today during our free period at the nearest cinema - urgoo 2. it just didn't work out. but i guess i wasn't going to not watch it as soon as possible, because i've been putting it up for a while now (not really, just 3 days).

even though all the seats at urgoo-1 were booked for the day, i waited by the counter for the shower of cancellation 30 minutes before the showing. luckily we (as in me and gerel) got like the best seats ever in the hall: row 10 - seat 15, 16.

on to the movie itself, it was the best 2 hours i've spent ever (as i already tweeted). not sure if i should do a reviews, i don't think anyone would need a review of the film prior to watching it. anyway, if avengers is available in your country or around you and you haven't watched it yet, go watch it as soon as the opportunity strikes (with finals coming up around the corner and everything).

suit up!

p.s. i spotted stan lee on the first trying. you'll do the same, he's very out there.

sade - smooth operator

there are occasions when someone claims a song for them, like "oh, this is totally my song". contrary to that belief smooth operator is everyone's track. enjoy!

p.s. i've started writing only in lowercase, no more uppercase - an experiment. we'll see how it goes.

katie melua - i'd love to kill you

Yesterday, me and couple of my classmates were in a car going home. When the track changed into this, I HAD TO Shazam it and find out what the song's title was.

Very seductively "sadist" song that was found recently. Plus Gegee, who was in the car with me, loves it too.

Expand this post for the lyrics.

i baked a cake

a couple of months ago, i bought a cake mold from tescoma thinking that i will start baking regularly after watching the sorted crew. but, i didn't cook anything and admittedly the oven hasn't been used.

today i just got the inspiration and my sister and i went out to buy the ingredients. check out the recipe and ingredients on sortedfood site.

it wasn't as good as i wanted it to be, but quite edible. not finger licking good, but good. lol.

20120508 | Anu Vlogs

I thought I should pick up vlogging again since recording with my phone's front camera is very convenient and vlogs don't require "quality" videos, I presume. And also I miss it (I don't mean to be cheesy).

Day's progression: 8AM class > Meet Indra at Bugis > Go home and try to work on my papers for uni, but fail miserably.

books i am looking forward to reading that are already out or to be so this year

Recently I've been reading quite a lot of academic books for my class or more "sophisticated" books. I totally understand that these are YA books, but they are continuation of series that I have already started. So I gotta finish what I've started, right?

The released or to be released dates might differ but let me know if you spot them anywhere.
  1. Never to Sleep by Rachel Vincent (January 1)
  2. Fallen in Love by Lauren Kate (January 24)
  3. The Nightmare Garden by Caitlin Kittredge (February 14)
  4. City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare (March 8)
  5. The Savage Grace by Bree Despain (March 13)
  6. Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore (May 1)
  7. Blackout by Mira Grant (June 1)
  8. The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead (June 12)
  9. Rapture by Lauren Kate (June 12)
  10. Before I Wake by Rachel Vincent (June 26)

I gotta say today didn't feel like Friday at all. It was just another school day that didn't promise the luxury of sleeping in the next day. But I hope you had a fun day.

One more thing, the research seminar on Mongolian Elections using HOS model was introduced today and I got the do the protocols. If you're interested in how it went, click here to see the presentation.

Now we are at the part where I post a couple of photos I took today.

Rouge flats, rouge life. The legs belong to (LOL) my classmate Bulgaa. She is an amazing girl.
I am intending to get one pair of red flats too, but the pair that I found were sold out in my size. :-(
The grandfather satchel. One of the things I wish MY grandfather had and I get to wear them now.
And this belongs to Jaq Jaq.

Raw Finish Stainless Steel Tumbler, 16 fl oz.
A 16 fl oz stainless steel tumbler with
a rugged-looking, industrial finish.
I gotta say I never thought about the size or the volume of coffee tumblers that I have, in fact all the tumblers in general. So according to Starbucks Store's Drinkware section, there are 5 types of them listed by their volumes:
  • Venti - 20 fl oz.
  • Grande - 16 fl oz.
  • Tall - 12 fl oz.
  • Short - 8 fl oz.
  • Demi - 3 fl oz.
Now I understand that they are useful for people to carry them around your work, in your car or on the go. But for me I carry it even in the public transportation.

For someone like me who always forgets to drink enough liquid throughout the day, it is useful for working a trick on yourselves. Whenever I bring them, I make myself to refill the cup at least twice for the bother of taking it in the first place. So by the trick, it keeps me hydrated. You should try it sometime.

P.S. I have 4 talls and none of the others.

Starbucks Coffee Tumbler (12 oz./.35L)
Woah, May crept on behind my back. Can't believe how fast time, especially April, passed. Or should I rather say that time stands still and it's only I who passes.

Anyway, I wish you all had a nice beginning of a new month. Due to this event, I restarted to bring one of my Tumblers with me; today the most summer-y one was chosen to be in my bag or in my hands. LOL, don't forget to notice the switched coloured nails.

Good luck with your papers and finals everyone!
