Nomin, Me, Bindi and Odko

Saturday (June 9th) I met with Bindi for the first time in person. Well, it felt like we know each other so well that it's trivial to talk about things like introducing ourselves to each other and so on. Oh, she's our beloved Nomin's sister, by the way.

We had a nice brunch at Michele's French Bakery and talked a lot, but exactly what escapes my mind. A morning with the E sisters was enjoyable. And let's just say it was an awesome morning spent. Looking forward to seeing her again when we get on the same continent again. Best of wish B! if you're reading it.

As a gift she brought me a book with a very very nice cover, which I loved instantly. (As she said it herself, she bought it just because of its cover and she knew that I'd kill for books). Also looking forward to reading it.
Published to coincide with the 2011 centennial of The Secret Garden's publication, this Penguin Threads edition of the classic children's tale includes cover art by Jillian Tamaki and deluxe french flaps.
Commissioned by award-winning Penguin art director Paul Buckley, the Penguin Threads series debuts with cover art by Jillian Tamaki for three gift-worthy Penguin Classics. Sketched out in a traditional illustrative manner, then hand stitched using needle and thread, the final covers are sculpt embossed for a tactile, textured, and beautiful book design that will appeal to the Etsy(tm)-loving world of handmade crafts.
The Penguin Classics Deluxe series has been celebrated for its unique packaging and innovative design. The book of the Penguin Threads series will make truly special gifts and will be welcome additions to any craft or literature lover's collection.
