The Photo A Day October challenge by @fatmumslim is back, for me. Though the good part of the month had already been passed by the time I started the challenge, there is no rules against starting from the middle. I've made this month's challenge on my Instagram (@AnuHarchu), as usual, and the photographs in this blog post is directed from there.

Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed the month of October and good luck for November.

SeriesGuide Android App

I've been using GetGlue for some time to check-into movies and TV shows I am watching to - I don't know, I just do; it's probably the stickers. Then I wished it had a feature that will remind you which episode you've watched last and the next one coming and so on ...

Yesterday I found SeriesGuide featured on the Play Store; and it is THE app. You can choose the TV shows  that you want to follow, check into the episodes you've already watched, and mark them as watched, find out when the next one is due. Isn't that very convenient?

Totally recommended if you watch numerous shows at the same time. Keep your addiction organized.

The Expendables 2

First of all, I should tell you that I, myself, hadn't watched The Expendables before watching The Expendables 2, though I don't really think it is the kind of movie that the previous ones should be watched.

It's just the movie to watch when you don't want to think about much. Most of the fun you would have will come from the referrals of previous movies that the cast have been in - some of the tag lines are juuuust hilarious.

Remember the time that all the gaggers were referring to Chuck Norris as undefeatable-one-man-army? It's kinda nice that the screenplay had the sense from the current popular medium.

I wouldn't watch it again, but you'll have great time at the moment if you're a 70's - 90's kid. Enjoy!

Lover Lover - Freebirds

Yesterday, I've discovered this song via Saruul, my junior high friend with whom I haven't met in a while or our paths hadn't crossed that much until then.

The song is so simple to listen, probably especially when you're in a car or on the road, and the video is so subtle too - quoting Saruul. So, give it a try. You'll enjoy it, I guarantee it. If not, oh well (but not likely).
- Anu
P.S. And we ran into Tilo Valo and Suugii, then Hulan in Nayra Cafe, my favourite coffee shop probably.

(Buyanaa - Your Love)

I was given the link to this song by Khulan Jugder (click on the name for her blog) today and the simplicity of the music goes beautifully with the lyrics, which is composed by Yavuuhulan (Б. From the direct quote from Khulan: "nadad mungo oldsongui ee, aav uuroo zohitsuul geseen. zereg duunii derged ter ev engiin utgaa yamar ev engiin yum shig hernee yaruu tansgaar gargaj baina ve".

Goodreads for Android

I have been using Goodreads web for almost three years now and the Goodreads Android app for over a year now. But first, let me introduce the main usage of the service. You get to keep track of the books you've read, you're reading and you're want to read, with publisher provided descriptions, book information. You even get to rate and review the books.
Almost all this option is available on the Android app with the exception of viewing the series that the title you're viewing and others, which I haven't really noticed. You can update your own reading progress as well as the completion of it.

If you're into books and pretty anal about keeping things in order, Goodreads is your product (and it's free, well practically what isn't?) for doing that. And with the Android app (iPhone app is available too) that expertise goes mobile.

X-mini™ II Capsule Speaker™

While I was on trip during the summer, I kept regretting for not getting an X-mini already, it would have been so much more comfortable on the road - Life is a lot better when you have your own soundtrack.

One time I came into the city and went to OMG Shop (click on the name for the foursquare page) for a hot red one, they didn't have it - only pink, purple and green. I waited for another red, but I ended up getting the vampy purple one yesterday - A Vampy Purple X-mini™ II Capsule Speaker™.

I charged it about two-and-a-half-hour and it is booming. I'll try to get a video footage when Indra, Shirako and me connect our red, black and purple ones together and play some kick ass track to make them dance on their feet.

Low volume music NO MORE.

Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness

The perfect song for the end of Summer - Lana Del Rey's Summertime Sadness from Born To Die, at least in my case. A bitter-sweet memories and images arise with this one, every single time.

I am back in town from the summer-long tour guiding job - this is it for this season (as far as I know, but I am pretty sure). I have to admit though that spending a business day in October without any class is strange to me for I have always been a student for my entire life (no matter how short it have been), and I hope those other fellow undergrad students out there, who are having their internship in September and October, share the same feeling with me. If you don't, oh well.

Yi Li's Mongolia Custom Trip

My very last job as tour guide this year (as far as I know) was a 12-day-trip with Eve and Helen involving a home-stay with an eagle hunter's family and a 3-day-tour in Gobi desert. Eve and Helen were taking these amazing photographs of everything (which I forgot to ask to download them, fool me) during the trip, thus commemorating them fully.

Okay, now I am at a loss of words for those things that I was definitely sure that were going on the blog. (H and E, if you are reading this, BATHROOM!!!) Here are some of the pictures I took during the trip, enjoy. (Click here for the Flickr Set)
