When I see the tons of bloggers that I follow on different platform, the service that they use significantly differ on the types of posts they do.
Fashion bloggers tends to prefer WordPress or Blogspot because they are much more customization-prone and they look much more like a website rather than blogs. Ex: Andy from stylescrapbook.com and Rumi from fashiontoast.com
Beauty bloggers are basically the same as Fashion Bloggers. Ex: Essie from essiebutton.com
Then there is another category of Internet People. The people who are notoriously famous and influential on the internet seems to use Tumblr a lot. Ex: Hank and John from vlogbrothers, Joshua Topolsky from Bloomberg Digital (formerly Verge).
I’ve tried using Tumblr as my main blogging platform back in the day when I had time to blog every single day and actually wanted to write a lot with big pictures and graphics etc. But nowadays I find Tumblr seems to suit my blogging habit much more than Blogger.
Advantages of moving to Tumblr:
Shorter text body - hence less stress on writing quality posts as a blogger.
Disadvantages of leaving Blogger:
I was on the Blogger platform since 2009.
'Losing' the followers I've gained over the last 6 years of period along with the page view.
Opting out of Google’s service. I quite like the idea of having one environment that I can use with only one account - Google+, just like Apple ID.
ESSENTIALLY THE ANUHARCHU.COM DOMAIN WILL STILL BE MY MAIN DOMAIN, BUT IT WILL REDIRECT TO ANUHARCHU.TUMBLR.COM INSTEAD OF ANUHARCHU.BLOGSPOT.COM FROM NOW ON. THE POSTS ON THIS BLOG WILL STILL BE UP, BUT IT WON'T BE UPDATED AS LONG AS THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.
